Alarko Carrier's "Global Climate Change" Photography Contest Winners are Announced
The winners of the photography competition that Alarko Carrier organized to raise awareness about climate change have been announced. The jury's evaluation brought 13 photographs into the semi-finals of the competition that was organized on the theme of Global Climate Change. Murat İbranoğlu was awarded the first prize of a Canon EOS 70D digital camera while Dilek Uyar, in second place, was given a Toshiba 13 N3KVR air conditioner and third-place winner Deniz Nida Şener won a 13 S3KV air conditioner. The 13 finalists earned eligibility to appear in Alarko Carrier's 2017 calendar.
While Hasan Güzel in 4th place and Aytül Akbaş in 5th were each awarded with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A P550, Muhammet Ceylan in 6th place received an Asus Smart Telephone. The other 7 finalists Erhan Hacıisaoğlu, Caner Başer, Nuriye Çayır, Banu Diker, Arzu İbranoğlu, Ferhat İdoğ and Sevcan Meraklı were awarded D&R gift cards.
In its efforts to establish a sustainable corporate culture for its employees and supplier industry, Alarko Carrier's main goal is to raise environmental awareness, says Alarko Carrier General Manager Önder Şahin, who continues, "We are shaping the concept of sustainability under the three areas of economic development, social growth and the environment. For about 20 years now, we have stepped forward as a company that spends money and energy on the issue of sustainability. In this context, our photography competition on "Global Climate Change," this being the third one we have organized, aims to highlight the changing climatic conditions. This year we carried the competition into Instagram and broke a record by drawing in more than 2,760 applications. We thank everyone for their participation and congratulate the winners."
The jury for the competition was made up of Alarko Holding Board Member Leyla Alaton, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Contracting) Alper Kaptanoğlu, Artist Şükran Moral, Photographer Ani Çelik Arevyan and the Instagram Phenomenon Ahmet Erdem. The jury evaluated the entries on the basis of compliance with the competition's theme, creativity, narrative power and technical criteria.
