As I advance towards the inevitable end, enjoying a healthy and exciting life full of happiness, I am proud of the work that we have created with my lifelong partner, Uzeyir Garih. We have reached a past of 58 years as a Company, and of 39 years as a Holding Group of Companies.

We started with Uzeyir Garih half a century ago, practically from zero. We had no capital. All our wealth consisted of one typewriter, plus one table and three chairs. We could not get loans from the banks. However, to the Persembe Pazari merchants of the time, we looked credible and reliable. We realized that the market was more interested in reliability and credibility, than in capital and bank loans.

We have always been assisted by professional management, while developing the company throughout these years. We clearly described and kept apart the shareholder and management functions. Thus, we set the foundations for the continuity of a company managed by talented professionals, proving their abilities and skills.

I feel very confident now, looking to the future from a past of half a century. I trust the second generation of shareholders, and the young professional managers of the Holding Company with whom I am working. They will cooperate in carrying the Holding Company to higher platforms. They will be aware of their responsibility towards thousands of shareholders, of our employees, of the Turkish nation and the whole humanity.

They will keep our flag flying high, regardless of all difficulties and adverse conditions.
