Alarko Education & Culture Foundation

Alarko first started its activities in the Turkish industry in 1954. In addition to its contributions to the Turkish economy, in 1986, Alarko founded the Alarko Education-Culture Foundation (ALEV) to contribute to carrying the Turkish nation to the level of contemporary civilization, to the development of our national culture and to the efforts of our country towards taking its deserved stand on an international level.

With the objective of making a name for Turkey on the international platform with projects that claim our national culture, since its foundation, ALEV has made efforts to prepare thousands of our young people of different levels of education to the 21st century information age by giving them non-refundable grants and financial aid.

ALEV perceives the positive impact of education on the country’s progress and hence undertakes the following in the area of education in order to help educational services.

Giving non-refundable grants,
Giving non-refundable financial and equipment aid to those in various levels of education,
Establishing educational institutions or contributing to existing ones within the framework of legal procedures,
Organizing or helping organize training courses, conferences, exhibitions, concerts and scientific meetings,
Supporting, rewarding researchers and research projects in all different areas of science and when relevant, establishing and developing research institutions,
Working on applications that will allow young people to work while studying and develop their on-the- job training.

Moreover, ALEV is maintaining its contributions to endeavors that will enable our country to take its place among the developed communities of the world in the area of culture by:

Preparing and distributing promotional films, books, brochures and other similar publications,
Organizing international meetings to promote our country, its culture and traditions, participating in promotional activities at home or abroad or giving support to participants,
Conducting or commissioning free of charge research and development services for the revitalization and development of Turkish architecture, help in the restoration of these works, cooperate with, support, and reward private or legal persons who participate in such tasks
