Alarko Talent Development Program... A Career Development Program by Dr. Üzeyir Garih

The Talent Development Program, which was launched in 2006 by the Alarko Contracting Group, is a career development program in which a lot has been invested both spiritually and financially. The goal of the program is to train highly qualified middle and senior level managers who will work in various units of the Alarko Contracting Group after 8-9 years, primarily in project management positions. Throughout the process, it is aimed to raise the success bar of our Group at home and abroad even higher by raising the managers of the future with ALARKO culture and competencies.

A mentor is assigned for each participant in the program from among Alarko managers to share their years of experience at Alarko and offer guidance. Mentors are responsible for the training and mentoring of their mentees in the Talent Development Program, they monitor whether they are putting their training into practice and support them in their work.

Participants remain "Candidates" for the first year, during which period they are assessed through various tasks, tests, interviews and observations; and depending on their performance they continue their path as part of the Alarko Talent Development Program from their second year on.

In the first 4 years of the Talent Development program, training on various topics targeting professional and personal development are provided. Training is provided in two different terms each year, spring and fall, and are designed as external and internal trainings. In the first 4-year period, participants undergo 8 different rotations of 6 months each and gain experience by working in different units and roles. After the first 4 years, they work as department heads and managers on 3 different projects to become qualified as project managers by the end of 8-9 years.
